Horses are the perfect candidates for holistic medicine. They are far more sensitive and in tune with their natural surroundings than most humans, and therefore tend to respond to natural therapies very positively. Kaley uses a science-based, logical approach as well as intuition to formulate a total health protocol for your horse, advising on herbs, essential oils, flower essences, general care strategies, etc. as needed. She also utilizes zoopharmacognosy, allowing your horse to take an active part in selecting the remedies needed.

Kaley also works in partnership with her husband, Jim Heckert, who is a farrier specializing in therapuetic shoeing & barefoot trimming, to address issues of the hoof.

Kaley is a Certified Clinical Herbalist, Certified Nutritionist, Certified Bach Flower Essence Practitioner, NAHA Certified Aromatherapist, Certified Reiki Practitioner, and C2/H-B Pony Club Graduate. She has 20+ years of experience working with horses.

Services for other pets are available on a case-by-case basis.

Equine Energy Work & Reiki

Kaley is also available for energy-work only sessions.

Energy work, Reiki in particular, is the process of channeling the life-force for healing purposes. Energy work is safe and non-invasive. During a session, the practitioner aims toward removing any energetic blocks and revitalizing the client's life-force, leading to relaxation, clarity, and healing.

Horses, and animals all kinds, can reap tremendous benefit from energetic sessions. They generally love it! If you have a horse that is currently experiencing trouble with physical or emotional health, energy therapy could be a great a addition to your current care. In addition to hands-on energy therapy, the energetic healing properties of essential oils can be utilized during your horse's session.
